TO OBTAIN A COPY OF YOUR NEW APPROVED DISPENSING LICENCE: According to regulation, your dispensing license needs to be displayed at the premises (this is also applicable to a locum)
Due to the failure of postal services lately, most dispensing HP’s are currently not in possession of a valid dispensing license to display physically. Any outstanding annual fees on your current licenses must be paid up, prior to the re-issue of your amended dispensing license.
Contact DOH on the contact numbers mentioned to obtain a valid copy of your dispensing license.
Department of Health’s website: http://www.doh.gov.za The Department took a decision not to email copies of dispensing licenses due to the high number of uncollected originals, and thus, contravention of the Medicines and Related Substances Act 101 of 1965.
The original may be collected from the offices of the South African Pharmacy Council, 591 Belvedere Street, Arcadia, Pretoria.
The license holder may send a courier or a representative to collect – on Tuesdays and Wednesdays only between 10h00 and 15h00.
